Come along to a night of live music to raise money and show solidarity for ongoing campaigns to support those still locked up for opposing the 'Unjust' G20 which took place in Hamburg in July this year. This event is being organised by people involved with Glasgow Autonomous Space but due to a double booking it will take place in another building very close by. If you come to 53 kilbirnie street on the evening of the 22nd you will see signs directing you to this event.
Latest addition to the line-up is 'Rapid Tan'.
There will be four bands starting from 8pm, followed by DJ's Christelle and D-Harsh......
Vegan cakes and refreshments will be available for a donation and there will be some one off printed t-shirts so bring yer spare pennies.....
Nobody turned away for lack of funds.....
36 people remain in prison following events which took place in Hamburg before and during the G20, one of whom has been given the most disgusting sentence of 2 years and 7 months despite there being no evidence of his alleged offences......these individuals will pay the price while those who profit from the exploitation of millions of people and the earth's resources continue their assault with impunity.....
We want to raise money to go towards the campaigns which have been set up to support some of those imprisoned for acting against the reckless injustice of the capitalist system and the global elite who perpetuate it.....
We want to raise awareness about the injustice of incarceration and the toxic effect it has on the world in which we live.......
We want you to share in these struggles in any way you can, to bring dreams of a better future into waking life.....

HERBAL STUDY GROUP
On the first Monday of every month folk meet at GAS and learn together about herbs and their healing properties.
No prior knowledge necessary!
Bring books if you have them.
We save part of the evening to learn about one plant in particular , and someone also brings a mystery herb that we experience with all our senses before learning more about.
! All welcome !
GAS is very happy to host Unity Foodbank
Every Tuesday 12-2pm
If you're interested in getting involved email firstname.lastname@example.org
In less than a year GAS has been transformed from an empty shell to this ! Massive thanks to absolutely everyone who has had a hand in building. We're so excited for what 2017 will bring to the space !
Every Tuesday from 6pm - 8pm, Glasgow Autonomous Space hosts the Unity Arabic/English language exchange.
The Unity Centre (http://unitycentreglasgow.org/) started the exchange because many people from many different Arabic speaking countries wanted to practise their English, and many other people wanted to learn Arabic!
In recent years, cuts have been made to English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses and people wait months on waiting lists. There is a very high demand for English classes.
Every Tuesday the class comes together at Glasgow Autonomous Space to create a supportive and welcoming environment. Everyone is different levels and people learn what they want, however they like. Everyone is learning together!
The class is run collectively and everyone is the teacher.
Many attendees are in the asylum system or struggle to cover transport costs. It is important that the classes remain accessible to all by offering travel money.
Donations are very welcome - https://www.youcaring.com/people-who-couldn-t-attend-otherwise-601139.
Donations of materials such as pens and paper are also very useful.
For more information contact email@example.com.
Come on down and join in!

There is a small outdoor area round the side of GAS. It was fairly stinking but with one day's work we have transformed it. There's still lots to do! So if you're interested in getting involved please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject 'GARDEN'.
On Saturday 6th August we had our first zine copying day. Many thanks to all that came down with their offerings, we copied almost 100 zines to add to the collection!!
If you have materials that can be copied into the library, or suggestions for other sources then please don't hesitate to get in touch - email email@example.com with the subject 'INFOSHOP'.
We're particularly keen on gathering items in many languages. Children's books and graphic novels are also very welcome.
Stay tuned for more infoshop work days. The library will be opening soon :-) :-) :-)
