On Saturday 6th August we had our first zine copying day. Many thanks to all that came down with their offerings, we copied almost 100 zines to add to the collection!!
If you have materials that can be copied into the library, or suggestions for other sources then please don't hesitate to get in touch - email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject 'INFOSHOP'.
We're particularly keen on gathering items in many languages. Children's books and graphic novels are also very welcome.

This will be the first of many open (work)days at GAS.

There'll be folk on hand to explain and aid the build - all abilities welcome - bring tools if you have them..
The space will also be open for:
- those curious
- those up for drinking tea
- those up for hanging out (there is sunny outside space if the weather swings that way)
** From 1pm-5pm on the same day, there will be banner making for the demonstration at Dungavel https://www.facebook.com/events/1010771445626054/, come to GAS after and lend a hand / unwind !
Some important things:
<> It'll take a few more workdays until the space is child friendly
<> The space is fully accessible + toilets gender neutral
<> We fully expect only the soudnest of folk will be present, but we gotta say that oppressive behaviour of any kind won't be tolerated, and on the day there'll be people designated to approach should you have any concerns

GAS is a newly formed space to host groups struggling against capitalism and other forms of oppression. It will be a safe space for all and a resource to aid groups in their aims. It will be run by those using the space, non-hierarchically and not for profit. The space aims to include a wood workshop, print workshop, infoshop/library/reading room, fitness space, meeting space and kitchen.
